The Mavericks football season has concluded.
Colorado Mesa University (CMU) and West Texas A&M University have agreed to cancel their game that was scheduled for Nov. 21. The game will not be rescheduled, and the Mavericks end their season 2-1.
The Mavericks finish their season with the number one ranked defense in the country. They allowed a Division II best, 12 points per game, 86 rushing yards per game and 278 yards per game.
The Mavericks allowed a total of 38 points through three games while scoring 75 total points.
Senior linebacker Bryant Bowen led CMU in total tackles with 27, and he was tied for third in tackles for loss with four.
Redshirt sophomore running back Jesse Rodriquez led the Mavericks in rushing with 415 yards and tied for the most touchdowns with three. Freshman running back D’aris McMillan tied Rodriquez in touchdowns as he scored three, with all of them coming against Black Hills State University.
