Rowdy Maverick is here to find love and something else in season 10 of Love Island (UK).
“Yeah, we wanted to set Rowdy up with a mate for a while now and this seemed like a good idea…well until I messed up the application and he ended up on the European version,” said Rowdy Maverick’s manager. “Soooo, now he’s in South Africa filming the show.”
It was quite a shock for students and staff to learn that Colorado Mesa University’s humble mascot was looking for love on international TV, but some students were ecstatic to learn he made the cut.
“This is sooooooo cool, our own mascot will be able to find love in the best way possible, at a group mixer where people double-cross each other until they find their one, after five tries. AAAAAAA I hope he makes it to the end, a Maverick wedding, the whole school better be invited, and I better be a bridesmaid,” said Student Life Assistant Director Haley Wiedeman.
The Criterion even got an exclusive press package from the people at Love island including never before seen photos of Rowdy and the rest of the cast at the villa and a quote from a potential love interest.
“He’s just so mysterious, like what is going on behind those big black eyes, it’s kind of tough to share a bed with him, he’s really buff. I think he also only wears one pair of clothes too, he’s always in the same jersey for the Mavericks, I think it’s a soccer team?” said a potential couple’s partner.
“It’s hard to cuddle with the hooves but I know our love can transcend those bounds, we have only known each other for three days but I can tell he’s the one.” said another potential couple’s partner.
Rowdy’s agent was even kind enough to give a statement from Rowdy.
Unfortunately, most of Rowdy’s statements had to be redacted due to spoilers for the upcoming season.
Will Rowdy last the whole season and come back with a Mavette Mate? That’s a question that can only be answered on the next season of Love Island (UK), only on Hulu in the States. Dare to be obsessed, plans start at as little as $5.99 a month.
