The Mavericks finished their three game road trip with a 74-59 victory over Adams State University in Alamosa, Colo.
As playoff season is around the corner, the Mavericks have started to play more of their starting five consistently through the game.
Colorado Mesa University (CMU) stayed on top throughout the game winning each quarter throughout the fourth.
Redshirt junior guard Monica Brooks put on one of her best performances of the season as she was able to record a double-double with 11 rebounds and 16 points. Brooks’s 11 rebounds led the team throughout the game.
The Mavericks for the third game this season had all five starters score double digit points. Graduate student guard Mariah Martin led the Mavericks with 21 points. As a team they shot 50% from the field.
The second quarter was the Mavericks quarter as they outscored the Grizzlies 24-16. They were able to dominate from the permentier as they shot 80% from the arc. They also had their best shooting percentage from the field with 69.23%.
CMU was strong, producing points off turnovers and offensive rebounds. They were able to get ten points off of turnovers and four off of second chance points.
The Mavericks finished their regular season road games with a record of 7-3. They will finish their regular season home games this upcoming weekend.
They will compete in a game against Regis University on Feb.18. Tip-off will be at 5:30 p.m.
