Rowdy, the bull that represents the mascot of Colorado Mesa University (CMU), has just turned four years old.

The Rowdy Wranglers and PAC came together to give students a chance for photos with Rowdy and celebrate his birthday.
“[These are] the Rowdy Wranglers, this is our program, I do lead this program. So I’m in charge of all aspects of the bull,” Rowdy Wrangler lead Gregory Payseno said.

Every Monday before Homecoming, Rowdy celebrates another year, and PAC helped with the occasion by adding school swag to the mix.
Red rally towels and cake were swiftly taken en masse.

[Students are] allowed to come in to the corral and get right next to [Rowdy], you’re able to touch him, look him in the face, and get as many pictures as you want,” Payseno said.

While some students were apprehensive of taking photos with a bull, Payseno assured that Rowdy isn’t too intimidating. “He’s an awesome cow [. . .], he’s super nice, he loves to meet people.”
