From the crowded library computers to broken printers, lucky are those among us who have never experienced printing problems. For the rest of us, Student Life in the University Center offers a small, printing oasis in the vast desert of toner issues and wasted paper.
“It’s easier to print in here,” Shelby Cerise, a senior at Colorado Mesa University said. “There’s a scanner in here, plus it’s central. Way more central than the library.”
Cerise gave her statement while settling down to do homework in the quaint lounge.
According to Associated Student Government President Beau Flores, whose office is adjacent to the small lab, the Student Life computer lab was historically meant as a quick pit stop for students running through campus.
“Historically, there was actually more [computers] in here,” Flores said. “Now, it’s more of a lounge, more of a gathering place if you want to do homework and don’t want to go over to the library.”
