Many people may wonder what sort of intellectual activities the Editor in chief gets up to. He’s a Student Ambassador, runs a newspaper, has another job and keeps up with all of his homework? Who is this diva?
To answer all of your burning questions, this diva is Diamond II (at the time of writing this) in Marvel Rivals and I’m here to tell you my honest opinions on the intellectual activity I’ve been up to.
Marvel Rivals is a new hero shooter game from NetEase, using both known and lesser known characters from the Marvel Universe.
Since its release date on Dec. 6, I’ve put in a whopping 224 hours into the game. For those of you who are mathematically inclined, that comes out to about 3.5 hours a day. Doesn’t sound that bad when I math it out a little now does it?
After putting in what I would say is a respectable amount of time, I have to say I’m very impressed with the game so far. All of the characters are incredibly well designed and each one feels uniquely fun to play.
My standouts are by far Luna Snow, Psylocke and Winter Soldier, all of whom I have at Lord status (if you know you know).
On top of fun characters and engaging gameplay, the developer of the game, NetEase, has done a wonderful job of making you want to spend money on a free game. They make incredibly appealing skins all while being at an affordable price of just $16 per skin! If you’re someone like me who refuses to spend money on these (I’ve bought 4 skins so far), this has become the new standard for most games which makes me less inclined to be upset about it.
Whether you like to talk to women and touch grass, or you’re like me, bitchless and haven’t touched grass in months, Marvel Rivals has done an excellent job of making the game both addicting, satisfying and a fresh new twist on a genre that feels beat to death.
