What brought you to CMU?
“I liked how new the campus was. It was nicely priced compared to other schools. And I like the wilderness, so I thought being out west would be cool.”
What is your major?
What do you hope to do with that when you graduate?
“I hope to either work with the government or a consulting firm to protect lands that would otherwise be used for mining or non-recreational purposes.”
Who is your role model?
“Kanye West because he is original. That is all I am going to say.”
What is the coolest thing you have ever done?
“I got rescued by the Canadian national guard in the wilderness by a boat.”
Did you get lost?
“No, I was backpacking with a few friends 80 miles into the wilderness, no phones or anything, and I jumped off this cliff into some water, and I tore my left MCL and sprained my right MCL. And there are no phones or anything, so you can’t call. So some hiker that was hiking back out we told him ‘hey you should tell someone when you get back that we are here.’ Then at nine o’clock at night, the Canadian National guard by boat came in lights flashing and just picked us up.”
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
“Patagonia. Just because of the sheer size of everything there. It would be so intimidating, but I think it would be a cool experience.”
What is your favorite activity to do?
“Snowboarding, because you get to challenge yourself while also having fun.”
What is your biggest dream?
“I don’t really have an answer for that. To go to Patagonia with Kanye West. That is my biggest dream.”
If you had to have one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
“I have thought a lot about this actually. [Probably] like a curry, like a chicken curry or something. You could spice it up into a bunch of different things and maybe have like a chicken vino da sala or a chicken vindaloo. But standard chicken curry would be my standard go-to meal.”
