As President Joe Biden begins to unveil his true intentions as the biggest influence in politics, we as the American people are finally able to see whether the consequences of the 2020 election were a positive or negative outcome
Based on Biden’s recent political agenda, he has so far proven himself to be the lesser of two evils. When he promised to halt all deportations in his first 100 days and make a proposal that would legalize an estimated 11 million people living in the US, the public became outraged when families and individuals continued to be brutally forced out of the nation.
What the general public has failed to mention when addressing the subject, was how U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton issued a preliminary injunction sought by Texas. This would issue an argument that felt the moratorium violated federal law and risked imposing additional costs on the state.
This is a fair concern considering the current weather conditions that have been wreaking havoc in Texas. Another seemingly empty promise that President Biden made is in regard to the $15 minimum wage in the Biden administration COVID relief bill.
The American working class became excited at the thought of finally receiving aid from the government since we have spent over a year struggling to scavenge a living from the wasteland economy that we were so graciously provided during this pandemic.
However, those in need will continue to suffer while Senate officials claimed it was impossible to provide such alleviation. The only way that this reflects poorly on Biden’s ability to be a president is due to the fact that he simply welcomed defeat.
Presidents committing to falsified proposals is a normal trend considering we engage in a severely capitalist democracy. What is seeming to separate Biden from past presidents is that he seems to be listening to the people who have been fighting to make their voices heard.
After Biden bombed Syria as retaliation for recent rocket attacks on the United States that were blamed on Shiite militia in Iraq, there was a military reconnaissance that revealed a woman with her two children.
Biden then called off the airstrike for the second target in Syria to avoid killing citizens. Though the desire to save the lives of those who are innocent shouldn’t be considered an act of political heroism, we often forget how low the bar has been set for American politics over generations of westernized ideologies.
This is a very promising start in what seems to be a new progressive era for future generations of Americans.
