This year’s Unity Fest arrived in the wake of a double name change in which the Cultural Diversity Board became the Cultural Inclusion Council (CIC) and the Gay-Straight Alliance became the Genders and Sexualities Alliance. Both these name changes were for the sake of being more inclusive.

The CIC Color Festival followed the tie-dye event that evening and the Ho’olokahi Polynesian Club luau the next day.
