On Saturday, Oct. 27, Colorado Mesa University held its annual Homecoming Parade downtown on Main Street. Of all the clubs and organizations that participated, three were chosen as this years winners. The winners were Forensic Science Club, Club Rodeo and Greek Life.
Only a small portion of CMU’s clubs and organizations participated in the parade, which made it seem very short.
The beginning held promise for the spirit that the students were going to show. The first group was our very own Marching Band. They came out with the spirit only Mavericks know how to display. The next groups were the cheerleaders and CMU Football.

Further down the line was Greek Life. If any spirit or energy was lost beforehand, they sure brought it back. They certainly showed the Homecoming spirit, as all Mavericks should.

The Engineering Club-Mesa Motorsports brought in their very own creation, a motor car.

Club Rodeo and and our mascot, Rowdy, brought up the rear of the parade. It was interesting to see the participants in Club Rodeo standing up on their horses while they were moving!

Although the parade did seem to be quite short, it was still full of Maverick Spirit!
