It is an important week Mavericks. CMU is having its 93rd birthday, it is time to elect the Associated Student Government representatives and there are several sports and other events to attend.

Day of Giving is on Tuesday. This will be part of the celebration of CMU’s birthday. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the plaza will be lively with music from Rowdy’s Brass Band at 12:00 and a large birthday cake. It is also a chance for students to give to any of the 13 campaigns. Look on the CMU website for more information.
Thursday there will be other mammals on campus. It is the sixth annual Steer Stroll! Beginning at 11:45 the Rodeo team will be beginning at the south end of campus and riding to the north. There will also be a rodeo bull in a pen for part of the time from 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the plaza. The rodeo team will then be showing off their skills later that evening.
Thursday it is time for the graduates to come together for a Grad Party in the University Center in the second floor lounge 236. This party will begin at 4:00 p.m. and go until 6:00 p.m.
Friday is election night in the UC on the first floor activity lounge. This will go from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Voting is through Orgsync as well as students may see poll stands throughout the week.
Check out the Advanced Marketing confessional booth in the plaza on the green zone on both Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Want to hear some student music? On Monday there will be a performance in the Love Recital Hall of the percussion ensemble and jazz combo.

There are only a few showings left to catch the last student play of the year. If you haven’t seen “Mr. Burns a post-electric play” you have Thursday, Friday and Saturday to catch it. There will be performances beginning at 7:30 every day and an extra showing on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m. Check out the online ticket sales for easy purchase.

Many sporting events to check out this week. Baseball kicks it off with batting up against Regis on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. Not only do they play on Friday, but on Saturday they will play a double header against Regis beginning at 1:00 p.m. and on Sunday they will go for round four against Regis beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Softball is also going up against Regis in a double header on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. They will go against them again on Sunday beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Tennis will verse CSU-Pueblo on Saturday and Women’s Lacrosse will verse Westiminister on Saturday.

For Outdoor Program trips this week there will be Rock climbing on Saturday to a Town Float on Sunday. To find out more information or other free activities going on throughout the week stop by the OP building and get all the details.
