Back in the groove after Spring Break, this week brings the Holocaust Awareness Series. This means something to do every night of the week. Get ready Mavs, this week is packed with events. 

Reminder! Monday is the last day to add or drop a second Module class. 

It is Holocaust Awareness Series. Monday at 10:30 a.m. the Dedication for the Field of Flags Display will kick off the week at the CMU Main Campus College Center Field.  From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. there will be a screening of “What Our Fathers Did: A Nazi Legacy” in Houston room 138.

Tuesday there will be a presentation from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in Houston room 138 about representing the Holocaust in memorials, monuments and museums. There will be another presentation from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Houston room 138 called “Genocide: Risk Factors and Stages”.

Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. there will be a presentation in Houston room 138 called: “The Holocaust in Children’s Picture Books”. Followed by a lecture from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. called: “A High Price in Blood and Money: German Colonialism and the Herero Genocide”.

Thursday there will be more lectures in Houston room 138 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. begininning with “Hidden Vengeance: The Deaf in the Holocaust”and followed by “America and the Holocaust – Movie and Panel Discussion” in the Tomilson Library from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. 

Tuesday there will also be a Kinesiology Panel Discussion in the UC Meyer Ballroom from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. All students are welcome, not just kinesiology majors and minors. 

Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Women’s Lacrosse will go against UCCS Mountain Lions at Walker Field. Softball will be at home on Friday against Fort Lewis from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Friday the Men’s Lacrosse will be at home playing against the Johnson & Wales Wildcats from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Saturday Softball will be at home against Fort Lewis again from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Women’s Lacrosse will take on Regis on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. 

Friday and Saturday there will be a performance by the CMU Opera.

They will be presenting a fully staged “Midsummer Night’s Dream” from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. This will be in the Robinson Theater. 

This Saturday the GSA Drag Show will be happening and will begin at 10:00 p.m. 

Sunday brings Easter with FCA hosting an Easter worship night in the Meyer Ballroom from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. 

Two Outdoor trips this weekend. One is the Native Ruins Tour Saturday and Sunday and the other is the Ruby/Horse Canoe trip Saturday and Sunday. 

Beware! Sunday is April Fool’s day… Watch your back, Mavericks, for this is a day of pranks.
