Dec. 1, 2-5:30 pm and 7:30-10 pm, Robinson Theatre – ENDS: Fall Dance Concert
The end of semester dance concert has choreography by faculty, guest artists, such as Daniel Charon and the Artistic Director of Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, and students. The show is aimed to create a bridge between the body and its surroundings.
Tickets are currently on sale: $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $7 for students.
Dec. 5 & 6, 7:30-11 pm, Mesa Experimental Theatre – One Acts
This is open to all for free.
Music
Dec. 2, 4 pm, Love Recital Hall – String Orchestra Concert
This concert will feature string instruments such as violin, viola, cello and bass in the traditional orchestra set up.

Dec. 3, 7:30 pm, Love Recital Hall – Holiday Choral Concert
The choirs at CMU will be performing their holiday concert. However, according to vocal music majors, this won’t be your typical holiday concert. You’ll have to listen for yourself!

Dec. 4, 7:30 pm, Love Recital Hall – Live Improvisation Concert
This free event is essentially a series of impromptu performances that the talented students of CMU will be coming up with on the spot.
Dec. 6, 7:30-9:30 pm, Love Recital Hall – Project Trio
This concert, sponsored by Karen Combs, will feature guest artist Project Trio. This three-man group consists of a cellist, bassist and flutist known to beatbox with his instrument. Classic training and diverse music style has resulted in widespread recognition by well-known organizations such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

Dec. 7, 7:30 pm, Robinson Theatre – Wind Symphony
This concert will feature wind instruments such as the flute in the traditional symphony set up.

Dec. 8, 3-5:30 pm, Robinson Theatre – Best of the West Final Concert
This event began in 2000 when high school seniors joined the CMU Wind Symphony for a concert. Since then the event has grown and now results in a performance of three band with over 280 high school musicians in attendance. This year’s guest artists include: guest conductors Shanti Simon, Jack Yonce and Ryan Crabtree, composer-in-residence Benjamin Taylor and guest artist Project Trio.
