One, two, three, four, one, two, three, four……

On Thursday April 4, the Latino Student Alliance (LSA) hosted a Latin Dance Night. The event started at 7 p.m. LSA provided snacks and drinks to those who attended. There was approximately 30 attendees excitedly awaiting on how to learn Latin dancing.

KMSA’s Clayton Johnson was there to DJ the event. LSA held a raffle at the end of the night for a Powderhorn Resort pass, and the winner of that pass was Tania!

LSA started by teaching the basic steps to the salsa. The salsa is a dance in which the man leads. Everyone was told that it was a basic four count dance. They broke it down into parts to make it easier to learn. They would first show the step, and then everyone would do it themselves. The two instructors would go around during the practice to help the dancers.

After teaching the dances, LSA allowed everyone to put it all together in a full dance at the end.
