Coffee Trader is off 7th Street and Patterson Avenue, right across from St. Mary’s hospital. It is a place to study, read, do homework and get work done.
They are different from other coffee shops because they sell cards, coffee mugs, thermos and t-shirts. They have two locations. The first is in Montrose and the second being in Grand Junction. The shops are locally owned and operated, with a goal to connect to the customers. There main goal is to bring customers a tasty beverage that maintains a local identity.
Coffee Trader offers something that most coffee shops do not: they deliver. They deliver coffee so that customers or big groups of people don’t have to make the journey.
They offer a wide variety of drinks to anyone that comes in. Such as coffee by the cup, espressos, special drinks (hot, cold and tea) and “freezerz” (otherwise know as frappuccinos). They offer an affordable price for any of their drinks.
“This place is great for me to focus and get work done,” customer Todd Jones said. “It’s my fifth time coming here. I will continue to come back so I can enjoy the coffee, food and a quiet workplace. They have good wifi and good coffee.”
Jones has made Coffee Trader his place to get coffee.
“I like the space and the atmosphere it’s very calming,” employee Rachel Wilson said. “We will get really busy in the morning and around 10:30 to 11 it starts to slow down, which is a great time to get homework done.”
They are a shop with tons of options and opportunities. They offer things such as book signings for authors, as well as a conference room. They are the place to get coffee as well as getting work done.
