We updated the Crite logo! As the Crite, we want to stay consistent and trustworthy as a source. With an updated logo across all platforms, we strive to maintain our trust with our recognizable and unique word mark and icon set.
With our updated logo, we adopted a variable logo set. This means our logo changes based on size. So our large logos only show up at large scales, while our small icons stay at small sizes. Our main logo changed from the criterion to the Crite as our main medium-sized logo. The large logos are similar to the original Criterion logo, while the medium uses the Crite word mark, ditching “the” for the sake of readability. There is also a new icon in the shape of the C. This case is used for small icons and social media. The changes uplift readability while maintaining Crite’s recognition. It is important to us that we stay consistent and trustworthy as a source. Therefore, we will keep these logos across all platforms for which the Crite are responsible.
