Students attending Colorado Mesa University (CMU) are given an array of housing options from their first day to graduation.
While the housing prices aren’t extreme, it’s fair to say that it isn’t cheap. That’s why I found the best housing on campus to be in the University Center (UC).
Using your handy-dandy MAVcard, one can come and go through the UC as much as they like, day or night. And if that doesn’t work, try slipping one of the custodians a light bribe; it beats any nightly rate for a hotel.
Once you’re ready to move in, there are plenty of rooms to pick from on the second floor as long as you wake up before its next use. Keep in mind, though, that I already called dibs on the ballroom. After you pick your room, throw down a sleeping bag and enjoy a restful night.
Living in the UC comes with a lot of perks, the most notable one being easy access to food. Whether you decide to splurge on Chick Fil A or grab abandoned leftovers, your next meal is always a skip and jump away.
If you’re feeling really fancy, you can borrow the ballroom for the night and host a dinner party with your closest friends! One might even suggest a karaoke night if they’re feeling dangerous.
Another pro of living in the UC is the number of bathrooms. No matter where you stay in the UC or how many guests you entertain, there are sure to be plenty of bathrooms to go around. Plus, you will never have to worry about cleaning your bathroom again.
Overall, the UC might be the best place to live on campus considering its many perks and virtual free cost. As long as you avoid anyone who seems to be employed by CMU, you will be sure to have a wonderful stay. Rating: 10/10.
