Colorado Mesa University (CMU) has filed a $20 million lawsuit against Central Michigan University for the rights to Mavroon.
The lawsuit has been placed for stealing our school colors, Mavroon and gold. Central Michigan University campus officials claim that their colors are maroon and yellow, but CMU isn’t having it.
The school has resorted to calling the lawsuit “The Mavsuit.” The Mavsuit Mavily lawyers believe that Mavroon embodies the school’s legacy.
“It’s my last year, so… meh,” CMU President Timothy Foster said about why he was starting the Mavsuit.
A group of students has been rallying in the free speech area of campus to show their support for the Mavsuit.
“Every time I hear the name of the color [Mavroon] I want to puke. But I suppose CMU has dumped money into dumber things before,” Abby, a design student said.
