With midterms right around the corner, students will be hitting the books. What better way to study than with a study playlist? Students here at Colorado Mesa University shared their favorite songs to study to.
“Partly Sunny” by Joey Pecoraro is freshman Kaleb Niumata’s favorite study song.
“It has a nice vibe to it and the rhythm helps me keep going when I’m stuck,” Niumata said.
“Turning Japanese” by The Vapors is freshman Peter Juntunen’s favorite study song.
“It is rhythmic and helps me obtain conscious association with studying,” Juntunen said.
“Feeling This” by Blink-182 is freshman Abba White’s favorite study song.
“I like it because it’s angry and it motivates me to get through my homework,” White said.
“Good News” by Mac Miller is freshman Teal Skoe’s favorite study song.
“It’s chill, that’s it,” Skoe said.
“Like Real People Do” by Hozier is freshman Jordan Brockman’s favorite study song.
“It’s calming,” Brockman said.
“This City” by Sam Fischer is junior Valentine Desreumaux’s favorite study song.
“It’s my favorite song anyways and I like listening to my favorite song when I study,” Desreumaux said.
“Coastline” by Hollow Coves is freshman Valerie Ramos’s favorite study song.
“Listening to the lyrics soothes me and helps me relax and concentrate better because the song reminds me of home,” Ramos said.
“A Lot” by 21 Savage is sophomore Jason Hunter’s favorite study song.
“It’s a motivational song that means a lot to me,” Hunter said.
“100 Bad Days” by AJR is freshman Brady Kizer’s favorite study song.
“It’s calming and it’s a good song to study to,” Kizer said.
“Interlude 2” by alt-J is freshman Blake Poole’s favorite study song.
“It’s very relaxing. It has no words to distract me from what I am reading. Homework is stressful, so it is nice to have relaxing music playing in the background,” Poole said.
“Luv(sic.) pt3” by Nujabes is freshman Michael Acker’s favorite study song.
“It’s good background music when I’m doing homework,” Acker said.
“La La Land (Acoustic)” by Bryce Vine is freshman Kyle Young’s favorite study song.
“I like it because of the acoustic timber and the relaxing melody. It helps me focus when I’m doing homework,” Young said.
“Like You (AudioJack Ruff Cut)” by Hot Since 82: freshman Laney Spiess’s favorite study song.
“It always puts me in a good mood so I feel more inclined to do my homework,” Spiess said.
