With college kicking into full swing, things can get pretty stressful. We at the Criterion have taken the time to compile a playlist of relaxing and chill music. The music listed below was suggested by the students here at Colorado Mesa University themselves.
“Half the World Away” by AURORA is sophomore Joshua Thomas’s favorite chill song.
“I listen to this whenever I travel,” Thomas said.
“Lion sleeps tonight” by The Tokens is Brittney Buckley’s favorite relaxing song.
“I feel it’s got a good beat to it and it’s just nice to listen to when you’re just trying to calm down,” Buckley said.
“Warwick Avenue” by Duffy is Riley Shields favorite relaxing song.
“It’s really relaxing… its good,” Shields said.
“Cupids Quiver” by CUCO is Nallely Robles favorite chill song.
“It be putting me to sleep,” Robles said.
“Marcaline” by WILLOW is Hannah Vertrees’s favorite relaxing song.
“It just has a good vibe to it and its kinda funny because it’s based off the character from adventure time,” Vertrees said.
“The Lime Tree” by Trevor Hall is Daxton Mock’s favorite relaxing song.
“It really just puts me in the mind set of sleep,” Mock said.
“Gymnopédie No.1” by Erik Satie is Kyle Dorr’s favorite relaxing song.
“It’s calming piano,” Dorr said.
“Out of My Head” by Khalid and “How Do You Sleep?” by Sam Smith are both Nikole Smith’s favorite relaxing songs.
“I like both of them because they’re really relaxing. I guess they’re kind of relatable in a way. They really get me in my feels for sure,” Smith said.
“Self” by Khalid is Ellie Smith’s favorite relaxing song.
“It’s just like a chill vibe song, it’s a really go with it type of vibe,” Ellie Smith said.
“Pork Soda” by Glass Animals is Lauren Ratcliff’s favorite relaxing song.
“It’s a bop. It’s a bop and a half really,” Ratcliff said.
