On Friday, May 3, the Annual Film Festival took place in the Colorado Mesa University Center Meyer Ballroom hosted by the Bachelor in Fine Arts program: Animation, Film, Photography and Motion Design (AFP&MD).
The show depicted all the artwork the students have created in the art building. The event showcased projects that have been created years ago all the way up until this semester.
“It shows people what the art students can really do besides that we can put a pencil in our hand and draw,” CMU student Kinae Little said. “We can also make things move, create music videos and show anything that we want to show. It depends on what everybody sends in and what they do.”
The show incorporated all different platforms of art from 2D and 3D Animation, Film and Title Sequencing, to Photography and Title Sequencing.
Over four dozen CMU students had their works showcased in the annual show. The show also has an online platform on the AFP&MD YouTube and Vimeo channels AnimationatCMU.
“Everyone makes different art. Their art is seen through everyone’s eyes differently from how we see it, so there should definitely be more of these shows,” Little said.
