Alpha Sigma Alpha (ASA) held their annual ASA formal on Friday night. The event was held in the University Center ballroom and was put together by two members, Marisa Mandel and Kaelin Messex.
“It was actually a lot of fun,” Messex said regarding putting the event together. “We had all the sisters come and help out before and got everything put together. […] It was just so nice because everyone that came actually helped so it was not as stressful as it could have been.”
This event happens as a way to give the sorority a fun night out before the end of the semester.
“It is a lot of fun,” Marisa Mandel said. “We do this event once a year. It is just a way of celebrating our sorority and getting to get together, all of us girls, and have a good time.”
At the event there was music, food and drinks that consisted of chocolate fondu and lemonade, and picture areas for the sisters to take photos with their dates and friends around ASA mementos.
“I like the turnout,” Mandel said. “The attendance is really good and I think it should be a really good night.”
The event lasted from 8 to 11 p.m.
