It’s safe to say that the new occupant of 539 Colorado Ave. lives up to the reputation of the location.

Baron’s Café and Bar has a lot to offer with great food, beer and coffee. Add an awesome and affordable special for college students, and it is certainly a place to spend some quality time at.

With tons of bar space, a stage for entertainers and pool tables, Baron’s offers a variety of menu items that one can order all day, from breakfast sandwiches to wraps and salads.

Also, another bonus is the quality of the food — all of the meats and cheeses are free of growth hormones, and it even offers some gluten-free substitutions.

Besides having great menu items to pick and choose from Baron’s is open seven days a week, starting at 10 a.m. and closing at midnight Sunday-Wednesday and 1:30 a.m. Thursday-Saturday.

As for students, Baron’s has have an awesome perk which will definitely draw a crowd. Show up any time of day while the kitchen is still open and present your MavCard and you will receive a free draft beer or coffee after ordering a sandwich.

If you don’t have a MavCard but are on Facebook, make sure to like Baron’s page to find all sorts of great deals and offers. The two most recent deals it had only on Facebook were a free shot of Jameson whiskey while it’s snowing and free Jager bombs each time the Broncos score during the Super Bowl.

Without a doubt, the hot links sandwich was the talk of the staff. The servers and employees were also great, making fun conversation and having a good time.

So if you and some friends are heading downtown for some food or drinks, definitely put Baron’s on your list. It will not disappoint.
