Pikmin 3: unleashes Wii U’s full potential

The Wii U has not received the buzz it has deserved. A small selection of games with little replay value has left the console on the shelves. Until now.
Pikmin 3 is the Nintendo title we have been waiting for, throwing you into a world of bright colorsand enjoyable puzzles, all while working with your happy army of diverse plant minions.
The plot takes place on a distant planet where the player’s ship crashes during your search for edible materials to bring back to the home world where food and resources are dwindling. The foreign planet is inhabited by pikmin, small creatures that are grown by gathering certain resources and used to solve puzzles and explore the world.
You can also battle giant bugs that attempt to sabotage communication and spaceship technology. The combat is fast-paced and forces quick thinking, which is not always the easiest task while controlling a hundred pikmin to fight the battles. With each battle comes new strategy, keeping the action from getting stale throughout the game.
The graphic quality of the game really shows off the potential of the Wii U. While not as powerful as other next generation gaming consoles soon to be on the market, seeing Nintendo successfully fall into the demand for HD gaming is a refreshing change for Nintendo fans everywhere. The game is the perfect combination of puzzle solving, fast paced action and nostalgia, making it a must have for Wii U owners and Nintendo fans.
