ASG Update: Funds set aside for finals week food


Several clubs were awarded funds on Wednesday to attend conferences and competitions.

The Association of Information Technology Proffesionals was given $2,740 to send five students to St. Louis to attend the AITP National Collegiate Conference. The club will compete in competitions, meet with job recruiters and have good opportunities for networking.

Sigma Gamma Epsilon received $1,107.15 to attend the Geological Society of America meeting in Gunnison. There will be 18 students attending the convention, 11 of whom will be presenting results from research they have been conducting.

Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association was given $1,231.28 to attend a competition in Henderson, Colo. on Saturday.

There was also $1,075 set aside in a bill to supply food and drinks in the library during finals week. This has been an ongoing event ASG has sponsored for several semesters.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2013-2014 ASG elections. The deadline is April 5 to turn in the application.
