On Monday, CMU’s Mass Communications department will host the 23rd annual Media Day. The event is open to students and will feature a number of workshops, speakers and photography contest.

Registration for both Media day and the photography contest will go 7:30-8:30 a.m., and events will directly follow. Media day will offer a variety of sessions with a range of concentrations such as journalism, photography, broadcast, graphics, advertising, audio production, and web blog creation.

CMU will also welcome a faculty member from the Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California, Judy Muller. Muller has not only been an Emmy Award-winning television correspondent, National Public Radio commentator and published author, but she has also worked for CBS and ABC, covering both the Rodney King trial and the O.J.
