Club holds office hours

Starting this semester, Tuesday afternoons in Houston Hall will become a homework and lunch hour for the Psychology Club.

“It’s just a little lunch hour thing,” Psychology Club President Brittnee Smith said. “It’s welcome to anyone.”

The club wants non-members to come learn about psychology or the club itself.

Other clubs have their own office hours for studying, advertising the club or for letting club members spend time together.

“It’s a place where we can get together and see each other briefly,” Smith said. “Outside of club meetings, we only see each other briefly, but there are also other outlets.”

During some office hours, students may study for a test they have together or talk about different psychological topics.

“It’s a good place if a student wants to talk to us, especially if they cannot make the meetings,” Smith said. “They can catch up on what we do.”

The Psychology Club hosts their office hours every Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. in Houston Hall 103.

“We welcome anyone,” Smith said. “Don’t be intimidated if we are all in there studying. It’s just office hours. Come swing by.”
