Homecoming week had its ups and downs. Rain forced the Rodeo Rumble event inside, and the foam party had the tragedy of sending five students to the hospital for drunkenness. But these small blunders did nothing to dampen school spirit.

The Iron Chef Competition drew crowds to watch WCCC students create savory delicacies, Safety Day gained attention by landing a helicoptor in Elm Quad and the bonfire brought students together. The week ended with the tailgate party and football game, which may not have ended the way we would have liked, but brought hundreds of Mavericks to the stadium to show their school pride.
