The temperature is dropping, days are getting shorter and the trifecta of F words, Fruita Fall Festival, were once again hung across Main street. Hundreds of event-goers from across Colorado and Utah were treated to music, games, rides and a surplus of food to arouse their taste buds.
The event took place in downtown Fruita from Friday to Sunday with the annual parade taking place Saturday morning. Local businesses and organizations had floats. And in true Fruita fashion, horses and tractors were part of the action.
As always, the festival food was a huge hit. Navajo tacos, funnel cakes, fried bananas and fried Oreos were among some of the favorites.
