With a bigger and better campus comes bigger and better activities.
This year ASG is bringing the electro-pop duo 3OH!3 and a host of other Colorado musicians to play at Fall Fest this Saturday.
3OH!3 is most recognized for their 2008 singles “Don’t Trust Me” and “Starstrukk” featuring Katy Perry.
Air Dubai and the ReMINDers will also be there warming up the crowd with their chill variety of hip-hop after local dubstep DJ and producer Daytona kicks off the concert.
“There was a campus-wide survey taken and students said they wanted a concert,” said ASG President Telbe Storbeck.
ASG approved the concert last March and is paid for by student fees.
“There will be fun activities and vendors,” Storbeck said. Food vendors, misting tents, henna tattoo artists and a Pixy Stix maker are some of the fun that will take place.
“If it’s successful we’ll have it every year,” ASG Vice President Ariel Diamond said.
The concert is free to CMU students with a current MavCard, and $20 tickets are available for non-students.
Tickets can be purchased at City Market, www.ticketswest.com or at the event. It will be held on the quad south of the University Center starting with the ReMINDers at 1 p.m.
“This is a student inspired event so come out and join the fun at Fall fest 2012,” Diamond said.
