Food, drinks and a relaxing atmosphere at the Ale House

No matter if you’re coming from football practice or work, don’t worry about being too dressed up or too dressed down at the Ale House. Located conveniently at Patterson and 12th street, Ale House welcomes all ages, all dress types, and is student friendly.

The restaurant provides excellent customer service. All menu items are made fresh and with great quality. My favorite item there is the nachos, which has fresh shredded beef and chicken piled on top of cheese, black beans, jalapenos, and tortilla chips, with a side of sour cream, guacamole and salsa. It’s always served hot and fresh and makes a great snack-on item when enjoying one of the many beverages.

Ale House is well known around town for ales and lagers. Although beer is not my first choice when it comes to alcoholic beverages, I decided to invest in a sample platter of six small glasses of their ‘main line’ brews: Avalanche, Lucky U, Agave Wheat, Pale Ale, Oatmeal Stout, and Vanilla Porter. My waitress informed me that the most popular beer Ale House sells is the Agave Wheat, which has a crisp, light taste with a hint of agave nectar and wheat.

On top of that, I also tried a 32oz Gladstone. This fruity drink is similar to a Long Island Iced Tea. Although I could try and guess all the ingredients in this masterpiece, there is one ingredient that remains a secret, making it a unique concoction of the Ale House.

One feature that locals love about Ale House is the patio. This is my favorite place to dine while I sit back and enjoy a meal. The patio has plenty of seating and is very spacious. What makes the patio so welcoming and cozy are the strands of lighting above the tables, making it enjoyable at night. The trees that surround the patio area, give guests shade during hot Junction days.

All-in-all, Ale House knows how to please their customers.
