Dear Editor,
I commend The Criterion for making strides forward in both quantity and quality this school year. Coverage of issues and programs on campus has been wide-ranging, particularly for a student run publication that has space limitations. Editorials have taken on controversial issues, letters to the editor have responded to spur on healthy debate, and a variety of columns and features has complemented the hard news on the front page. The addition of attractive sections, such as the one on the NCAA tournament, are helping the paper look “big time.”
Any organization has its detractors, and it’s heartening to see readers voice their opinions and construct logical arguments delineating those viewpoints. But organizations performing well can also use a pat on the back once in a while. The Criterion has come a long way, as has the university itself.
Thank you,
Michael Moran
