Liberating Tibet from prejudice

“Whatever the circumstances, whatever tragedy I am faced with, I practice compassion, I will continue to do so until my last day, until my last breath.”
These heartfelt words came from one of the most influential leaders of our time, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. For the past century of 14,000 feet above sea level, the small nation of Tibet has been under siege by the Chinese Communist Party. Previously Tibet has experienced numerous human rights violations at the hands of the CCP and is experiencing a unique tactic of immigration, which will soon flood Tibet with more Chinese than Tibetans.
Major demographic changes could result in the destruction rather than the integration of Tibetan identity of People’s Republic of China. This invasion has the pacifist nation backed up against the wall. Numerous examples of injustice litter the Chinese-Tibetan saga. Hostility to the highest degree has been exerted by China, yet little has been done to stop their actions. With a population nearing two billion people, China could not feed their consumption of resources. This in no way justifies their cause. However, China’s stance on the situation is grim, there is no room for cohesiveness between the two cultures.
The American people must stand up for our own ideals. We are fueling this “brutal regime” so why not increase American private and public sector, by building more of our own products and necessities. In doing so we would create American jobs and free the people of Tibet from the communist grasp that renders their culture fragmented. By weaning our American corporations off of Chinese production we can halt the progress of this regime. If we do not, the massacres will ensue and a culture will become extinct. Possibly rendering even our own economy to collapse because of this obsession with cheap labor and externalizing costs. Cohesiveness is key if we plan on attaining human sustainability on this planet and the pursuits of happiness. The Chinese have used every tactic to break the will of the Tibetan resistance. So we as humanity, not just as Americans, must admonish this merciless regime and liberate the people of Tibet from further persecution and prejudice.
