On Aug. 31, Associated Student Government opened the year with their first official meeting. President Justin Kawcak emphasized the importance of ASG’s mission.
“Our decisions will be made in the best interest of the students and organizations,” Kawcak said.
Other proposed goals are improving campus safety, homecoming preparation, and to bring enhanced unity to student organizations. The tobacco policy is also being looked at for improvement in the near future.
“As always, this year we will keep an eye on higher education,” Kawcak said.
Intent forms for fall elections are now available in the ASG office on the second floor of the University Center. The deadline for submission is Thursday, Sept. 9.
