Feb. 14-16: 7:30-10 p.m., Mesa Experimental Theatre – Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead
The performance is a parody in which characters from Peanuts, a well-known comic strip, are portrayed and reimagined as degenerate teenagers. The play discusses teen angst issues including drug and sexual abuse, suicide, eating disorders, sexual identity, etc. The play is rated M for adult language and content.
Tickets are currently on sale: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for students.
Feb. 28: 7:30-8:30 p.m., Robinson Theater – Reefer Madness
Reefer Madness is a musical comedy. The political satire was inspired by the 1936 film also titled Reefer Madness. The play examines the hysteria caused by clean-cut kids falling prey to marijuana which leads them towards a downward spiral. Between music numbers and dynamic dancing, the play “ups the ante” from the original film. The production is rated R for adult humor, religious parodies, drug use and suggested violence and sexuality.

Feb. 17: 4 p.m., Love Recital Hall – Brian Krinke on Violin and Arthur Houle on Piano
Krinke is an assistant professor of music at CMU, and has performed extensively throughout the United States and in Central America. As a chamber musician he has collaborated with numerous individual musicians, symphonies and orchestras. Currently, Krinke is the concertmaster of Grand Junction’s Symphony.
Houle is a professor of music at CMU. He teaches nearly everything related to piano including piano pedagogy and keyboard literature. As founder and director of the Festival for Creative Pianist, he encourages education and incorporating spontaneity and creativity in teaching and performing.

Feb. 22: 7:30 p.m., Love Recital Hall – Graham Anduri
Anduri is the Director of Vocal Studies at CMU. He has performed locally with the Grand Junction Symphony, Grand Junction Rockestra, etc. Anduri has sang in Europe, America and South Korea. As an operatic and musical theater singer and performer, he has been a part of numerous productions.
