The Programming Activities Council (PAC) kicked off their Welcome Week festivities with their annual Meet Your Mavily Barbecue on Monday, Aug. 19, welcoming incoming freshmen and their peers to campus.
“It’s a really great way to get new and returning students integrated with each other on campus, and get some free food,” PAC member Brennan Probsdorfer said.
They are estimated to have served around 900 students total, a number that the council has hovered around for the past few years they’ve put on this barbecue.
“It’s always a great time and a crazy day,” Probsdorfer said. PAC’s Welcome Week will continue until the culmination of the Glow Party at Wingate Field at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.
