Bryce Macy drove in two more runs after a single to left field giving the Lancers a 7-3 lead.

Serrano lead off the bottom of the 8th inning with a solo home run (2) to bring the Mavericks within three. Two batters later Gonzalez added his own solo home run (2) to cut the deficit to two, 7-5.
