Mountain Grind Coffee Company is a lovely coffee place, located near Colorado Mesa University, inside North Ave Hall and next to Bravo’s pizza. I think this is one of the prettiest places we can find near campus to enjoy coffee and other meals. Coffee and cappuccinos are very good. The pumpkin spice latte is simply delicious and I love how they always put a chocolate espresso bean on the lid. Their espresso has the actual Italian taste.
The interior of this coffee joint is wonderful, especially the winter feel you get when you walk in. They have comfortable couches near the entrance and a little stove. Inside, the furniture is made of wood and there are pictures that show bears or forests covered with snow.
All these characteristics make this place particularly relaxing. It is a place where you can definitely spend an afternoon while drinking coffee and talking with some friends. It is also possible to have breakfast or lunch. They have baked pastries, wraps, paninis and salads.

Most of the options on their menu are great and the employees are very friendly. Mountain Grind Coffee Company has been in business for three years now, but it is located nearly outside campus, so many students probably don’t know the existence of the coffee company.
I personally find this coffee house peaceful and a perfect area to study. For example, when the library is full or other places on campus are too crowded, at Mountain Grind you can definitely have a place to knock out some studying time. It’s nice just to be away from the usual atmosphere of being on campus.
Outside the coffee house, there is a little spot where you can sit if the weather is not too cold. It is open Monday to Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Saturday is only open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For my personal judgment, this place deserves a five-star rating and I would definitely suggest every student go and enjoy Mountain Grind Coffee Company.
