The Colorado Mesa University board of trustees has recently added two new members to the group. The board made up of 11 will now include Stephanie Motter and Raymond Anilionis.
On Dec. 15, Governor Hickenlooper appointed the two to the board. He also appointed Bob Wilson for another two-year term.
Wilson has been on the board for the past six years. He has been the treasurer and will continue this role on the board.
“It feels great,” Wilson said to being reappointed.
Motter is from Grand Junction, Colorado. She works as the chief executive officer of Monument Health. She graduated from Smith College with a Bachelor’s degree in economics and proceeded to get her masters in nursing from Yale University.
She has lived in Colorado for many years, but in the past two years has moved to the Junction area. Before becoming the CEO of Monument Health, she was a vice president for quality and clinical strategy at DaVita Healthcare Partners.
Raymond Anilionis is from Parshall, Colorado. He is 70 years old.
“They are very bright people and very enthusiastic,” Wilson said. “Great additions to the board.”
Both Motter and Anilionis will serve until December 2021. The new appointments will add to the board as well as keeping Bob Wilson as treasurer. Betty Betchel remains president of the board. Two trustees will not return to the board. Dan Robinson was recently termed out and Ray Martinez was not reappointed.
The board, which works with CMU President Tim Foster to approve major policies, make long-term plans and oversee the university budget met in Denver this past Tuesday and Wednesday.
