With all the hoopla surrounding President Trump, it seems impossible that there could be a more contemptible human in the political/media sphere. That’s where you would be wrong.
We can’t forget Milo Yiannopoulos, winner of most annoying name to spell and recent pink slip recipient from Breitbart news.
Yiannopoulos recently stepped down from his job at the right-wing news website Breitbart after video was released of him rationalizing pedophilia during an interview. If defending sexual relationships between grown men and little kids isn’t enough to sour your opinion of him (it should), there are many other reasons to dislike the anti-Muslim, Black Lives Matter opponent and chauvinist troll.
In response to these allegations Yiannopoulos wrote “…there is only one response to this type of behavior, and it’s a gigantic F**K YOU.” That was after he said the establishment Republicans should burn, and that they are so dumb they don’t have two braincells to rub together.
The author of the book “Dangerous” (so edgy) has lost the good graces of conservatives and liberals alike due mostly to his personality. That doesn’t seem to bother him, however, as he says he’s only talking about politics because of his ‘Daddy’ Trump.
See, Yiannopoulos is what is called a ‘nihilist.’ He doesn’t believe in anything. Well, except taking free speech to new lows. Yiannopoulos and Trump know what irks people. They have a lot to say; some will like it, but more will either ignore it or hate it. The people who like it are vastly outnumbered and get defensive, while the people who hate it will attack and point out the flaws. So on the edge of defeat, Yiannopoulos and Trump, like your juvenile friend from sixth grade, will try to play off accusations with a handful of moves. They use personal attacks, say they weren’t trying or they were joking and, as a last resort, say they were cheated or the game itself is rigged. Seems familiar, right?
During an interview with Bill Maher, Yiannopoulos once showed up looking like Billy Idol from the 80’s, and then went on to personally rip on Sarah Silverman and the new “Ghostbusters” cast (which got him banned from Twitter).
He also joked about how ‘broken’ he is, which might be correct since he said that gay people are un-hireable and women are even worse and ‘Black Lives Matter is a violent movement.’
Honestly, from watching a handful of interviews, Milo seems like the human incarnation of a republican 4chan thread. Whether Yiannopoulos is deflecting blame or seeking outlandish attention, one piece of advice is most valuable: Don’t feed the trolls, they evolve.
