Five days until one whole week off to travel, see family, adventure with friends or lay in bed for hours on end. This week brings some midterms, but also a fair amount of activities to keep those who aren’t busy happy and those who are busy something to do while taking a break. 

Music will be heard this week in Moss Performing Arts building. The Jazz Ensemble is Monday night and then the wind symphony on Thursday night. 

Interested in helping others out? Fundraisers! Tuesday there will be

a fundraiser for the student nurses association from 5 to 8 p.m. at Zoup. On Thursday the chemistry club will be holding a bake sale in Wubben Hall from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Around this same time from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a printmaking guild shirt for sale in the plaza. 

Sport fans, before the teams take off for vacation or away tournaments, there will be Men’s Lacrosse on Tuesday vs. Rockhurst

and Thursday vs. Maryville. Baseball will play Monday against Fresno Pacific and Friday through Sunday they are up against the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. 

Extra Extra: Media Day is happening on Monday that is sponsored by the PR club. This brings high school students to campus to learn from the Mass Communication professors and students about the school and degree.

Monday night there will be a credit and personal finance workshop with the Senior VP of Commerce Lending at US Bank. This will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. in UC 213. 

Tuesday also brings the Grand Mesa Clothing Swap from 6 to 8 p.m. This will take place in the Grand Mesa Multipurpose room. Tuesday will also be Pottery and Mocktails from 6 to 7 p.m. hosted by PAC. 

Kayak on Monday nights, climbing on Wednesday and the Spring Break trip is coming up.

 

 

And don’t forget Mavericks, there is no school next week. And therefore it is time to have fun. Enjoy your break.
