Residence Life hosted its annual Piñon Palooza on the Delta Quad on Saturday April 17. This year was the biggest yet, with plenty of games, food and prizes to be won.

The theme this time around was a music festival. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., students were able to partake in the 20 or so activities spread out around the quad.

The carnival atmosphere attracted hundreds of students to center campus. From Pottery painting to racing through the various bump ‘n’ jumps, there was certainly no shortage of things to do.

This year hosted an impressive number of booths. With either the chance at food or fun, each booth offered something unique. With Sodexo catering, it wasn’t hard to find a meal either.

Walking through the event, vendors could be seen selling everything from shaved ice to turkey legs. There was also plenty of carnival food as well.

For Residence Life, Piñon Palooza was all about giving back to the students. In speaking with the Residence Hall Association, they wanted to remind students that this event is for us.

“We do it all for them [the students],” Abraham Selenke, the President of the RHA said. “Piñon Palooza is a present for you guys, so come out and enjoy it.”
