The Troester-Harwell and the Flores-Vela campaigns for Associated Student Government president and vice-president are essentially tied, according to a poll conducted by The Criterion.
In an online poll, in which 86 students voted, 43 percent of students were planning to vote for Troester-Harwell, 42 percent for Flores-Vela, and 15 percent planned to not vote at all.
In a random selection of 66 students polled across campus, 12 percent planned to vote for Troester-Harwell, 13 percent for Flores-Vela and 12 percent had not yet selected a candidate. A significant 63 percent of polled in-person students planned to not vote in the elections.
When the polls are combined to provide a more accurate sampling of CMU students found across different media, 38 percent planned to vote for Troester-Harwell, 37 percent for Flores-Vela and 23 percent planned to not vote at all.
