A new event recently rolled into Grand Junction. Micro Wrestling is a WWE-type event for those standing under 5 feet tall. The Micro Wrestling Federation is currently on a tour of the United States. On Mar. 15, they appeared at the Mesa Theater to a sold-out house.

“This show is wack. It’s so funny. This is definitely a night to remember,” Kayla Peters said.

Some of the audience members were returning for a second time.

“I’ve seen the show before. I saw it down in Vegas, and I love the show,” James Ruff said.

The wrestlers, including Flyin’ Ryan, El Torito, Heavy Metal Mario, The Red-neck Brawler, and others, took each other on one by one before meeting in a battle royal style match at the end of the event. In the final match, El Torito came out on top, winning the championship belt.

The Micro Wrestling Foundation will continue its tour in California before traveling across the country until they reach Florida in late November of this year.
