CMU’s offense exploded in the third quarter as they scored 28 points which were more points than the Cougars had scored in the game at the time. The Mavericks shot 72.7 percent from the floor and they were a perfect four for four from behind the arc.

CCU started out the quarter on a 10 to five run in the opening four minutes, but the Mavericks didn’t allow much scoring after those opening four minutes. In the final six minutes of the game, the Mavericks ended the game on an eight to run as they won by 28 points.
