Letter from an Org: The Literary Review

932

The Literary Review is a student-run publication consisting of creative writing pieces, photography, and art. The editor-in-chief and assistant editor facilitate the selection and editing of works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, and art/photography submissions garnered from a wide range of CMU students.

This publication offers valuable opportunities for prospective writers and artists. It enables students to begin building a portfolio, and gain the irreplaceable experience of submitting their pieces. Submitting artists and writers will benefit from feedback about their work, not only from editors whom share their passion, but from fellow readers as well.

The CMU community is one of diversity, passion, and creative thinking. We celebrate the value of individuals, while also maintaining that we are all in this together. The Literary Review not only provides an outlet for creative work, but a platform from which to express it and share it with others. Artistic expression, whether it be through words or a different medium, cuts across all racial, cultural, and social barriers; this diversity of expression promotes compassion and connects people from every background.

Look for our newest issue, out this spring! And next year, please join us to express the spirit of CMU. We look forward to collaborating with you!
