Getting involved with PAC

On Tuesday, April 16 the Colorado Mesa University Program Activity Council hosted an event that allowed students who wanted to get involved to ask questions about what PAC is and what they do on Campus.

So why get involved in PAC? PAC is what runs most of the events on campus.

“We are looking to see what students actually want on campus, so we do not do the same event over and over again and not getting good reception for it. So our goal is to get more people involved to get a better representation of what we can do,” CMU student Brennan Probsdorfer said.

They are in charge of all the little events like the pancakes you see being made in the University Center on the last Friday of every month, the pub nights that are held at local bars every third Thursday and the big events like the spring concerts that the school holds every year.

PAC is a big part of the community and creates events that students want to take part of and have a fun time on campus.

“Also joining PAC you feel more connected with campus and you get to help build the culture on campus that CMU has been striving for many years and having your thumb on what the students want is our biggest goal,” CMU student Jack Hein said.

PAC allows you to adventure into new skill sets that other clubs and organizations on campus may not teach you. They teach you how to budget by giving you a certain amount for an event and making sure that you stay within the range that they give you money wise.

It teaches you how to market the event. How are you going to get the news about the event out to the public? Are you going to get the word out on social media, flyers??

So if you want to have more of an opinion on what type of events go on at the school and want to be involved in a big way, then PAC could be the place for you .
