University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) selected Louis Nadelson as one of two candidates to become the next associate vice chancellor of research. Nadelson is currently the director of sponsored programs and academic research at Colorado Mesa University.

According to Communique, the official news publication for UCCS faculty and staff, Nadelson and Jessi Lyn Smith, professor of psychology at Montana State University, are the two finalists for the position at UCCS.

Smith made a presentation before a 13 member committee on Apr. 16. Nadelson will make his presentation on Apr. 25. He will present for 30 minutes followed by a 30-minute question and answer session.

Nadelson declined to comment until after he knows whether or not he has been selected for the position.

Nadelson came to CMU in 2016 to teach computer science, mathematics and statistics. He has served as the director of sponsored programs and academic research at Colorado Mesa University since 2017.
