Julie Fredlund, Colorado Mesa University (CMU) administrative assistant for the Biology and Physical & Environmental Sciences (PES) departments, passed away in a bicycle accident on Tuesday morning.
According to an email sent to students by CMU President Tim Foster, Fredlund was involved in the accident on the Colorado National Monument.
Fredlund worked at CMU since 2005. In her role in the departments of Biology and PES, she assisted both students and professors.
According to the email sent to biology students, “Our department, university, and community will miss her greatly.”
