Colorado Mesa University’s (CMU) Cultural Diversity Board’s (CDB) first annual fashion show was a resounding success. At the beginning of the event, Donovan Harwell, Director of Communication of CDB, stated that they were unsure what to expect and that the turnout was surprising. The Black Student Alliance (BSA) coordinator, Brooklyn York stated that the event was hosted in accordance with CBD and the alliance’s common goal: promoting inclusion at CMU.

The event began at 5 p.m. on the third floor of Escalante Hall with a meet-and-greet and catering from Qdoba and Jimmy Johns.

At 6 p.m. the event truly began. Wave 11 began performing, raffles were drawn, prizes were given and the fashion show started. A few different groups and designers represented the designs which were shown.
